About Trostel's Greenbriar Restaurant & Bar
Our upscale menu features slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, aged steaks, pasta, poultry and lamb chops. Award winning Chef Troy Trostel features a different specialty appetizer and entrée each week, influenced by seasonal foods and those raised or grown in Iowa. Chef Trostel has been named "Chef of the Year" by the Iowa Restaurant Association, has twice won the State of Iowa Taste of Elegance competition and in 2003 was a finalist in the National Taste of Elegance competition. He has won numerous other culinary competitions sponsored by the Iowa Pork Producers and the Iowa Beef Council.
To accompany your meal, select a wine from our extensive wine list which has received every year the Wine Spectator’s "Award of Excellence" since 2002. A special selection of cocktails, ports, dessert wines, cognacs and sherries are also available.
If you'd prefer more casual dining, we offer a special menu year round in our beautiful mahogany bar, and patio dining in the summer months. Also, lunch is served Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with a seasonal menu that changes every three months.
